FOUNDER
Blue Anchor Building Company is inspired by a restaurant my grandfather built, and the sense of wonder for architecture and design, that being inside that space stoked in me.
As a third-generation builder practicing for nearly 25 years, I proudly continue my family’s legacy, working with clients and architects, and alongside my team of carpenters, cabinetmakers and craftspeople.
Together, we create thoughtfully-considered homes that look and feel inspired, inviting, and simply, wonderful.

Blue Anchor is a full service building company led by Dave McMorran in Southern Marin County, California. As a third-generation builder, Dave is inspired by his grandfather’s legacy of crafting accessible and comfortable houses for his community. Understanding that his family’s success was rooted in cultivating long term relationships with integrity and respect, Dave built Blue Anchor on a foundation of careful collaboration.
Key to the care we give our projects is an emphasis on design. Bringing the ideas of architects and interior designers to life is a technically complex and oftentimes emotional endeavor. Our bespoke team is made up of thoughtful experts who take pride in providing clarity and guidance every step of the way.
